1. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

2. Change of Mind / Incorrect Choice
We offer a “Cooling-Off” period for change of mind returns, subject to the following conditions:

Timeframe: You have 7 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return.

Condition of Item: The item must be returned in its original, unassembled condition, with all packaging, labels, and manuals. It must show no signs of use, wear, or damage.

Non-Returnable Items: For hygiene and safety reasons, the following cannot be returned for a change of mind:

Mattresses, pillow tops, and bed linen.

Custom-made or bespoke furniture (e.g., desks or tables made to specific dimensions).

Cleared clearance or “as-is” items.

Return Cost: Returns for change of mind are at the customer’s expense. You are responsible for the cost and risk of returning the item to us. We recommend using a reputable courier service with insurance.

Refund Amount: Once we receive and inspect the item, we will issue a refund for the product’s value. Please note:

The original delivery fee is non-refundable.

A restocking/handling fee of up to 15% may be deducted from your refund to cover the cost of processing and repackaging the item.

3. Procedure for Initiating a Return

Contact Us: Do not return an item without authorization. First, email sales@idealome.co.za with your order number and reason for the return.

Authorization: We will review your request and provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions.

Pack and Ship: Securely pack the item in its original packaging. Clearly write the RMA number on the outside of the box. Ship it to the address we provide.

Inspection & Refund: Upon receipt, our team will inspect the item. If it meets our policy conditions, we will process your refund within 14 working days.
4. Refund Methods
All refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Please allow time for the refund to reflect in your account after processing.

Credit/Debit Card: 7-14 working days.

EFT Transfer: 3-5 working days.
5. Warranty Claims
Our products come with a manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty period varies by product category (e.g., 1 year on general goods, 5-10 years on chair mechanisms).

Warranty claims do not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, or normal wear and tear.

To lodge a warranty claim, contact us with your proof of purchase and details of the fault.
6. Your Rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA)
This policy does not detract from your statutory rights under the CPA. You are entitled to return goods if they are:
